APS Colostrum Products are Manufactured in the Most
Technologically Advanced Colostrum Production Facility in the World.

Colostrum Spray Dryer

Our 40-ft high, fully automated,
colostrum spray dryer

Low Heat

The high heat pasteurization and drying processes used by many producers of colostrum powders can denature the sensitive IgG proteins and other proteins in colostrum. APS use of only low heat flash pasteurization and low heat indirect drying preserves the efficacy of colostrum. Toxic NOx components which are produced in direct fired dryers used by other manufacturers are not produced in the APS dryer. The US Food and Drug Administration limit's the content of NOx components to < 10ppm for infants, APS's dryer is designed to meet these strict requirements.

Low Pressure

Similar to heat, pressure processing of colostrum will denature protein and reduce the bioactivity of the finished product. APS powders are processed at pressures less than 10% of those used by other manufacturers.

Quality Assurance

“Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMPs) are rigorously followed by APS. A microbiological analysis is conducted on each product batch prior to shipment. In order to assure consistent high quality in every batch, analysis is conducted during each step of the production process, using APS’s in-house High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and various ELISA and ERMA growth factor assays.

Continuous Production

APS is the only colostrum processing facility located in the Southwest United States were very large quantities of bovine colostrum are available year round from large USDA Grade A dairies.
